Electronic Waste Recycling
In 1976, the federal government passed the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) which requires all consumers to properly dispose of, or recycle, their electronic waste.
In our ever-expanding, technologically advanced world, it is imperative that we recycle as much waste as possible to conserve vital resources and prevent environmental contamination by hazardous materials.
BioServ’s recycling program can handle all your electronic waste recycling needs regardless of your industry.
We recycle:
- Personal electronics (CPUs, keyboards, monitors, televisions, cell phones)
- Used or damaged medical equipment (CT and MRI scanners, respiration monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound machines, etc.)
- X-Ray Equipment / X-Ray Heads
- Light bulbs and ballasts, including fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescents (CFL), and high intensity discharge (HID) lamps
- Batteries, including lithium and lithium-ion
- eCigarettes and vape pen cartridges
Best of all, we’ve made it easy and cost-effective, with no minimum service frequency required. BioServ will prepare all regulatory paperwork, labeling and, if needed, we can supply the necessary packing materials. Then we will transport your electronic waste to an EPA-approved facility where it will be broken down for recycling. It’s just one more way that we make managing your waste simple and worry-free.
