Pathological Waste Disposal
Many facilities generate what is considered pathological medical waste. This type of waste includes human and animal tissue of any kind, tissue samples, living cultures, and biological laboratory waste. Pathological waste must be packaged and treated separately from your standard regulated medical waste. State and federal regulations stipulate that pathological waste be processed by incineration treatment only.
For clients needing pathological waste disposal, we will provide the necessary waste boxes, liners, and lids for you to properly collect your waste in. When your containers are full, BioServ will seal, label, and remove your waste; it will then be transported to the Northeast’s only licensed medical waste incineration facility for treatment.
