Proper chemotherapy waste disposal is crucial because it must be treated separately from your standard regulated medical waste. State and federal regulations stipulate that chemotherapeutic waste must be processed by incineration treatment only. Additionally special containers and liners must be used to collect this type of waste.
BioServ’s chemotherapeutic waste management program is simple. We will provide the necessary specialty waste boxes, liners, and lids for you to properly collect your waste in. When your containers are full, we’ll seal, label, and remove your waste; it will then be transported to the Northeast’s only licensed medical waste incineration facility for treatment. We also carry a full line of chemotherapeutic sharps containers for your convenience.
